Unpleasant Ulga
Evelyn was sitting in her room, the curtains shut leaving the room dimly lit, the carpet floor was compacted down, and her bed was creaky. She stood up and grabbed her door handle leaving her room,
“Mum!” She warbled meticulously. “Did you buy my Caesar
sauce?”
Her mum rolled her eyes, shaking her head and shooed
her out of the apartment. Evelyn stepped out of the front gate of her apartment
complex and started to stroll down the street. The cold air made her shiver and
feel dizzy when suddenly, a short girl ran into her. She fell to the floor hitting
her head on the concrete. The small child stood over Evelyn. She looked at her,
concerned, her teeth where crowded and her face was deformed, she pulled out a
cheque and shoved it in Evelyns mouth and ran off into the distance giggling
sickly. Confused, Evelyn pulled it out of her mouth and sat up sitting on someone’s
doorstep, still not feeling right. She then read the cheque, it said $3581.44,
and the name was Unpleasant Ulga. What an unpleasant name she thought as she
waddled to the bank.
Once she arrived at the bank she walked through the
tall glass sliding doors. She limped to the counter, pulling the soggy cheque
out, handing it to the banker. The banker had long dark hair, flowing down her
back and the perfect amount of blush sat behind a glass wall. The banker grabbed
her glasses hanging around her neck and slid them onto her face, she grabbed
the cheque with 2 fingers and read it, almost immediately turning her face a
pale drained white colour.
“I’ll be right back with this.” She squeaked in horror
as she took off her feminist pins, falling off her chair and crawling into the
back.
Evelyn stood confused when she saw the small child
again standing in the corner of the large empty room, holding pieces of paper.
She was looking for someone.
“Unpleasant, uhm- Ulga!” she yelled stuttering on her
words.
Ulga turned around. Her face lit up at the sight of
Evelyn. She tiptoed towards her and politely curtsied. Ulga pulled an old dusty
book from her neck pouch. She opened it up a cloud of dust filling the room and
started to chant an ancient sounding language. The banker ran back into the
room jumping onto her white spinning chair and stared at Ulga. The banker began
to speak the same language to her in an unsettling tone. Evelyn stepped back
and pulled out her phone and recorded it on google translate it but it just
turned out they were speaking Cantonese about rent. It started to get really
aggressive, they had a shouting match and Ulga threw a cement bag at the banker
smashing her glass wall. Ulga stormed out the bank with steam coming out her
ears and her face red. Scared Evelyn looked at the banker who smiled at her
hiding a pistol under her desk, so Evelyn ran out the building not cashing her
cheque, she had her arms in the air and throwing leeches at civilians.
The next day Evelyn awoke hoping what she had
witnessed was just some weird episode she had had. She sat up in her bed when she
heard a rustling in her cupboard. slowly she crept out of her bed towards the
cupboard but before she got to it, it swung open leaving a pungent mustard odor
in her room. It was Ulga, she was going through Evelyn’s stuff and eating
mustard infused crème Brule.
“How unpleasant.” Evelyn mumbled
sending a frown
on Ulgas face which turned into a stream of tears. She fell onto the floor and
began rocking back and forth before she pulled out an umbrella and jumped out
the window floating away to the bell tower. Just a few minutes later the bell
started to bang aggressively and then a loud shattering echoed around the town.
“Ahhh!” Evelyn shouted, falling onto the floor shocked
But she knew exactly who did this. Quickly she put on
her shoes and grabbed her lucky truck patterned tempered white chocolate and
got into her cement truck speeding down to the bell tower. As she arrived, she
saw the banker and Unpleasant Ulga standing facing one another on top of the
bell tower. Their clothes they were ripped, and they had no shoes on. The
banker barked at Ulga femininely and charged towards her on all fours careful
not to break her pink acrylics, but Ulga jumped over her landing onto the floor
grabbing Evelyn by her feet hair that she glued on while Evelyn was sleeping.
“Woah!” she gasped as Ulga grew a small pair of wings
and flew them into the sky
Evelyn tried to pull away, but they were too high up
and she would get hurt. Before Evelyn lost hope, she had a realization that she
didn’t have to be a small petite girl because she could break the gender norms.
She deeply thought to herself and her body grew lots of thick greasy hair and
her muscles grew three times their size and she pushed Ulga away and fell to
the floor leaving a muscular dent in the concrete, Evelyn climbed up the bell
tower and grabbed the banker by her pinky toe flicking her away to the AFL game
at the MCG. The banker watched the game for a while and loved it, she ran on
the field and became a professional player. Next, Evelyn jumped towards Ulga
who was biting her own flesh off. Evelyn snatched Ulga up and rocked her to
sleep and drowned her by tying weights to her wings and throwing her into the
lobster tank at the fancy fishy restaurant nearby after that she went home and
took a nap.
An hour later Evelyn was awoken by the sounds of
screams in the town below her so she jumped through her already smashed window
and saw giant mutated leaches, the ones she had through the day before Ulga
must have cursed them before she died. Before Evelyn could help a giant leach
swallowed her up and drank all the blood out of her in seconds and the leaches
took over the world and had Unpleasant leach babies.
